My favourite place in Al Ain

If you're a regular visitor of my blogsite, I'm sure that you've already seen several photos of Green Mubazzarah which I've posted over the past 2 years. No doubt that this prime recreational park located at the foothills of Jebel Hafeet is my favourite place in Al Ain. I really love to go there to see the sunset or visit early in the morning to catch the sunrise. Aside from taking photographs, I just love to sit on a bench and enjoy the view.

These images were taken sometime in January 2012. If you will squint your eyes or enlarge the 1st  photo, you will find people up in the hill. They were tourists from Fujairah visiting Al Ain for the nth time. No wonder, just like me, they so love Green Mubazzarah.

  1. When I arrived at Al Ain, supposedly in the desert, I was astonished to find the Green Mubazzarah. Where I live in Central Australia, an arid region, water is precious. At the GM it is thrown around and thus everything is beautifully green. It's one of my favourite spots. The photos here are superb.

    1. UAE belong to the countries with high water consumption. I find it unbelievable the first time I read the news considering that UAE is in arid region. Water is supposed to be precious but i feel sad knowing that they are wasting a lot of water.

Thanks for dropping by Robin. I did some post processing with these photos. Thanks to Photomatix Essentials :)

  2. it is very pretty Misalyn, so love the contrast of the green and the arid rocky layers of the Earth. The desert has its own unique and stunning beauty, a lot of my favorite places here in US are in the desert too.

    1. Yes dear I could sit there all day during winter times but during the month of March to October, the temperature is so unbearable. It is better to visit early in the morning or at night time.
