Traffic Poles and Bollards

If you are from the UAE and a resident of Al Ain, you have probably noticed these unique and lovely traffic poles and bollards in downtown Al Ain that certainly adds beauty to every intersections. And if you are visiting Al Ain for the first time, I guess you won't probably notice the interesting artwork, not unless you love street photography or you always look up in the sky or you do spot for new things. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that these traffic poles replaced some of the roundabouts like, to name a few, the Murabaa Roundabout in Al Kuwaitat and Planning Roundabout in Khalifa street.

By the way, I must say that I really like the small rectangular thing that we press each time we want to cross the street. A pedestrian friendly device attached on the pole.

These photos were taken in two separate occasions that I couldn't recall anymore. I was browsing my files while I was looking for photos suitable for my son's school project when I stumbled upon these photos in one my photo albums. Really nice, somehow saved me for today's post. Gee, sounds like I really need to go out and take new set of photos.
