Fill the frame

There's nothing special with these photos. I am just a bit nostalgic today......reminiscing the first few months of my eagerness to learn on how to press the shutter. It wasn't easy learning the basics, as a matter of fact, I am still on the process of learning. There are countless rules, guidelines and techniques but I prefer the trial and error. Until this very moment, I can say that I know squat about photography, especially when it comes to post processing. I simply love to snap anything and everything that I find interesting but I do concentrate on landscapes.

These photos were taken in April 2011 at Al Jahili Park when I participated in a workshop conducted by Sir Mike of Abu Dhabi Lecture Series.
I have no idea what kind of flower is this. Any idea?

  2. My initial thoughts with photography were to just to get an idea of something i liked that i would paint later. Then i was given my mom's old nikon, which had the ability to do anything - i learn from that one and when i wanted to make a really difficult shot, i asked some freinds who were professional. I still have that camera, but bought a reasonably good digital because it was quicker to get the results (kind of the same reason that my only media that i paint in is watercolor...i can not stand to wait!).

Marhaba! SHUKRAN JAZILAN for taking time to reading my posts and posting your comments.
