“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” ~Washington Irving
Mother's day is celebrated on different days in many countries in different parts of the world. Back home, Mother's day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May whilst most countries in the Arab peninsula celebrate it on March 21. I snapped this photo yesterday morning. It is a weed and its actual size is about 2 inches. You might wonder why I posted this flower instead of roses or lilies. For me, mothers are like weeds. A weed is a plant that mastered every survival skill. And if you have mastered the survival skill, of course you have mastered to be patient at all times, just like mothers. Whew! I hope my analogy is clear enough :)). This page won't be enough if I will expound the subject. Lol!
Happy mother's day to all the mothers out there!

Word of the day: ummu is the Arabic word for mother but if you want to say my mother(personal possesive), ummi is the right term. Salaam!
