Photography 101: Downtown fountain

I am not a professional photographer (and I'd rather call myself a photoblogger) to give you some tips and lessons on photography but allow me to share these photos taken last Sunday at Al Murabaa District when I was experimenting on aperture and shutter speed. I have done this kind of shots for several times for the past few months especially when I started to shoot in RAW + JPEG format. I just love the dream-like effect on the 1st photo.

Please note that these photos are the low resolution copies. A polarizing filter was a great help to minimize the glare coming from the sunlight. Go ahead and try the following settings on a manual mode.

first photo:  1/15 sec, F/22, ISO 100, 0 step, pattern, no flash

second photo: 1/640 sec, F/4.5, ISO 100, 0 step, pattern, no flash

And since it's time for Watery Wednesday, I thought of sharing these photos with the said photo meme. Thanks to 2sweetnsaxy. Wanna get your eyes wet? Head on to Watery Wednesday!!

Word of the day: suwra is the Arabic term for photos. Please note that suwra can also be used when you want to denote an Xray or an ultrasound. The use of the word suwra depends on the subjectSalaam!
