"Delights of Childhood"

If you are a regular visitor of Al Ain City Daily Photo, I'm sure that you've noticed my latest fascination in portraiture and most of my subjects are cute little boys and girls. I hope you won't mind me posting portraits every Saturday. As soon as I find time for an outdoor clicking, I will definitely post something related to Al Ain City being part of City Daily Photo community. I am quite busy these days. There are work-related issues that I have yet to finish this month. My apologies for not returning your visits.

This photo was taken in October 2010. Being a perennial "night shift" nurse, I do have difficulty sleeping during the night. This was taken during one of those nights that I almost wanted to take a pill so that I would sleep. I saw my son JM sleeping peacefully which prompted me to click the shutter. JM, being a hyperactive child, I find it difficult to take a good shot if he's my subject. I had the chance to snap and I grabbed it.

By the way, this one is included in the set of photos currently on exhibit at Al Ain Mall and will run through until 25th of April 2011.

Am linking this post to Weekend Portrait hosted by DindinMK and The Weekend in Black & White hosted by Dragonstar. Thank you.

Word of the day: nawm  is the Arabic word for sleep or act of sleeping. Salaam!
