A different perspective

If you're a regular visitor of this site, am pretty sure that you've seen quite few photos of Al Jahili Fort that I have posted last year. Those photos were in black and white or in full color. This time around, let me share these photos that I have converted into sepia and I've added an old effect with the help of ACDSee Photomanager2009. I snapped these photos sometime in July 2010. The original copies were not so clear  because of the sand and dust that was all over the place.

According to the report of General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Emirate of Abu Dhabi , Al Jahili Fort was one of the winners in the 2010 International Architecture Award given by the Chicago Athenaeum: The Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art design and Urban Studies, which was held in Mexico City under the auspices of the Colegio de Arcquitectos de la Cuidad  de Mexico.

On another note, if you are interested in attending the Third International Festival of Falconry which will be held at Al Jahili Fort on December 10-18, 2011, you can click here to visit their website for the details.

Word of the day: ateeq or atiq is the Arabic word for old. Salaam!

  1. Great pictures and colours.

BTW, I am bought a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens for my Canon DSLR.

I do not have any comparison, but this lens looks great to me. Moreover, there are many good comments about this lens in the Internet.

    Have a nice day.
