Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2011 Series: The Turkish Stars

Another team that has been featured in Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2011 with spell binding skills in the air was the Turkish Stars. The Turkish Air Force national aerobatic team joined this season for the first time. According to the commentator who presented the team in a humorous manner, their aircrafts were eight supersonic Northrop F-5. I specifically  like the combination of red, white and black colors. They have delighted the crowd with their fleeting maneuvers, air drawings, inverted flying and high octane formation displays. As per the commentator's report, they were flying at the speed of  370-960 km/hr. with only a meter between each smoke-capable jet (that was quite narrow!).

Here are some of the photos. Please be informed that all of these photos were resized in low resolution format. Enjoy!

Please come back tomorrow if you wish to see the RC jets and helicopters, Pyro, Skydivers, and the motor cross with a Mercedes Benz car display.

Word of the day: dtha’eeq is the Arabic word for narrow. Salaam!

  2. Yes,I did. All photos posted here in my blog were taken by me with occasional contribution of my husband, if my memory serves me right, there were only 2 photos.

    Thank you Filip.

  11. Goodness! What a great exhibition! Even in high speed, your shots are crisp!

Hahaha, naubos ba memory card mo? I bet you took a lot!

Hehehhe, nahiya ako sa guest post ko dahil last July ko pa pinadala, and it was for My World, and very summery ang photos.

  20. Misalyn, airshows are target-rich environments for photographers and you took good advantage of the opportunity. Great photos!

I was there on the last day also but was late and missed some of the events.

Keep doing your good works for the people of Al Ain, you are an asset to the community!
