"A beauty in disguise"

"A weed is no more than a flower in disguise, which is seen through at once, if love give a man eyes." ~~James Russell Lowell

This is a weed's flower that I have seen thriving in the shady nook under the tree at the back of our neighbor's house. Its actual size is almost a centimeter.

Word of the day: hashish is the Arabic word for grass/weed. Salaam!

Tonight's moon

Before I headed to work this morning, I was imagining of a full moon. I told myself that I will take a moon shot at 07:30 PM when the moon is still low. I grabbed my camera and left the house with a smile on my face. Unfortunately, I left the hospital at around 10:00 PM because I had a "super toxic duty".  I was waiting for a cab when I saw that the sky was so bright and the moon was glistening so brightly on the ground while the stars were almost shimmering. I was about to snapped when the taxi came. I decided that I will just do it after I had my dinner.

This is it! This is tonight's moon. I had to make the background darker for me to appreciate the craters of the moon. I cropped it by 25%.....a visual treat for me!! Hope you like it.

Thank you Lord for the heavenly bodies that makes me happy whenever I look up in the sky. Whenever I am weary from the problems of this paradigm that I called life, I just look up above, make a wish and whisper a prayer in the air.

Live Music at Bawadi Mall

Meet Ms.Georgetta (piano) and Ms.Alexandra (violin), both from Bulgaria. These beautiful and talented musicians are entertaining the shoppers of Bawadi Mall with their enchanting music. When you visit Bawadi Mall, be sure to catch them at the main entrance, just before the area of skylight in the wide concourse and be mesmerized with their music. I had fun watching them yesterday while they were soothing my auditory senses with Christmas songs.

Word of the day: Jameela or helwa is the Arabic word for beautiful. Salaam!

Theme Day: Time

One step forward at a time
That’s the way I’d like you to follow.
Keep your eyes open and your spirit high
As you walk through the single line.
You might stumble and fall,
But don’t be afraid,
Because I know,
We can bear it all.

One step at a time
Try to forgive and forget,
Wash away the thoughts of the past
and let the time pass by with a smile on your face
Try your best to live, laugh and love.
Learn to let go,
I'll just be here to support you
and give you a big hug.
~~Misalyn

(I don't know what happened to me, I just found myself writing a simple poem after I have spoken with a long lost friend. Hope you like it. Please bear with the images shown above. I was looking for a decent photo that would match the message that I am trying to convey with my poem ,but I guess I am just unlucky with my street photography and I ended up posting those images shown above).

This month's CDP theme is Time. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.
