"Tower of the Arabs"

Burj Al Arab is one of the most photographed structures in the word and an iconic statement for the United Arab Emirates. This seven-star hotel is located in the heart of Umm Suqiem, on Dubai's Jumeirah Beach strip and about 25 km from Dubai International Airport. Built to resemble a traditional Arab sailing vessel with  two lateen sails.

It is approximately 130 km from Al Ain City, the eastern region of Abu Dhabi. It will take about 2 hours of travel time from the Town Centre of Al Ain to Jumeirah Road of Umm Suqiem via Dubai-Al Ain road.

Word of the day:  burj is the Arabic word for tower. Salaam!

  11. I must post a photo of the "Burj al Arab" in Abu Dhabi. It's just next door to where I work, and it serves a lovely 'thali' for 8 dirhams OR a chicken biryani for 15 dirhams.
