Burj Khalifa (in black & white)

Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest man-made structure ever built. I have posted quite few photos of the burj before but most of my snaps were taken along the Sheikh Zayed Interchange or before the Sheikh Zayed Interchange. Photo shown above was taken 2 weeks ago while we were crossing the Business Bay on our way to Jumeirah Beach. Apart from the difference of the location where I've taken the photos, this one is a product of my latest passion; drive-by snaps in black & white.

If you wish to see some of my monochrome shots, please click here and if you'd like to check out the participants for this week's The Weekend in Black and White hosted by Dragonstar, please click here.

Word of the day: abyadh is the Arabic word for white. Salaam! Happy weekend!

  6. Brilliant b&w photo of this structure Misalyn. I've seen it on documentaries before but never so beautifully reproduced. You should frame this and show it! I used the word Abyadh in Khartoum when trying to get blonde/light hair dye for my hair. Thanks for sharing all these memories and words. (((Hugs))) Jo

  7. Pretty impressive for a 'drive by snap.' You've hit on just the right tonality here and the composition is well done.
