This is the skylight of Al Ain Mall. Adorned and decorated with flowers and butterflies which implies the current season. On the contrary, summer heat here in the UAE is almost unbearable. Plants, trees and flowers cannot tolerate the extreme heat that we are experiencing nowadays. They are getting withered.
My concern here is the water consumption. Sprinklers are almost on more than five times a day considering that water consumption in the UAE is amongst the highest in the world. People must learn how to conserve water. Blah, blah, blah..........Who cares? I don't know :( and it seems that it is falling flat on the residents' ears. I know that green looks good but so is brown and gray. I think during the summer season, planting flowers should be less, especially those that requires frequent watering. Aside from that, residents must find ways to conserve water.
By the way, Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) is the sole distributor of water and electricity here in the Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi.
Word of the day: nafarat is the arabic term for people. (singular = nafar). Salaam!
