Hubby's First Mono Shot

"We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope."
~~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Last week, my husband was off from his usual office work. I was taking some pictures of the flowers when he asked if he can borrow my camera for a while. Stated that he wanted to try to take some snaps. Came back after half an hour and showed me the pictures. The photo shown above is my favourite.

According to him, "an Indian man was waiting for a taxi for almost 15 minutes and decided to take a walk towards Khalifa Street. Certainly looked like a newcomer to Al Ain City." This road is in Al Mutaredh District. Taxis seldom pass by this area when its time for *Salah.

Entry post for The Monochrome Weekend hosted by Aileni. Go and visit Aileni's site to check out the monochrome maniacs.

Word of the day: *Salah is the arabic word for ritual prayers. Salaam to all!

  8. Amazing, shot! Despite it's monochrome effect, one can tell that it's a bright and sunny. Good composition. It starts with a couple of shots and before you know it, you guys will be on a lot of photo walks! :) Have fun, Misalyn!

  9. So, is hubby joining us in the photoblogging world? ;)

He did very well, and I like the story too. Poor guy, but I expect he'll learn fast enough.

  16. As anything rare searches for something alike, you two for sure found eachother and the ability to take wonderful photography.
A nice Sunday for you two.

  17. Excellent capture. That place is not very pedestrian (or foreign worker) friendly. Your spouse has a good eye.

  18. Great shot, the shadows and shading are wonderful. Perfect for monochrome. First he borrows your camera, then he will want one of his own. Photography is addictive.

Hope you are having a great weekend,
    Judy
