Happy New Year!!!

We travelled all the way from Al Ain City to Dubai to watch the fireworks in Jumeirah Open Beach  where the majestic Burj Al Arab, a 7-star hotel, is erected.

We arrived at 11:15 P.M. and here's the scenario. People from Sharjah, Al Ain, central Abu Dhabi and even from the northern emirates came to witness the amazing fireworks. Some brought their tents, carpets and food to munch while waiting for the event.

at 11:59 P.M.......
12:00 midnight.........
and the rest of almost 20 minute-fireworks

It was really difficult to get a good capture because of  so many hands just right infront of my camera. I was actually standing and trying to get a nice angle shot.
and right after the fireworks, here is the scene:

There you go, thank you for visiting my blog. Happy New Year to my awesome blogging friends and to my precious blog visitors. May the good Lord shower us with abundant blessings this year and for the coming years.

To check out the amazing skies all over the world, go and visit Skywatch Friday. Thanks to the Skywatch Team for hosting this great meme.

Word of the day: burj is the arabic word of  tower. Salaam to all!

  25. What a way to welcome in the new year — wonderful! I love fireworks but didn't get to see much because we only stayed at home (you know how dangerous it can get in Manila with kids throwing firecrackers on the streets!). So I thank you very much for sharing these fantastic photos with us.

    Happy New Year! Again. :)
