Guest photos # 1

Every first week of the month, I'll be featuring some photos taken outside Al Ain City. I will call them as  Guest Photos and let me start tonight.

Photos shown below were taken in Umm Suqeim  area, Jumeirah Road 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A mosque along 33rd Street.

Minarets are distinctive architectural features of Islamic mosques- generally tall spires with onion-shaped or conical crowns, usually either free standing or taller than any associated support structure; the basic form includes a base, shaft, and gallery. Styles vary regionally and by period.

Word of the day: adhaan pertains to the call for prayers, usually made through a loud speaker attached to the minaret of a mosque.

Salaam to all!

  7. Wonderful photography indeed !

Last time I saw a minaret was in the North of Greece, there is also one in my hometown of Hamburg, Germany - however not far as nice as the ones in your photography.

Please have a light and nice new week.
